1 lb 85/15 ground beef
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp ground pepper
4 oz Ammerländer Swiss cheese, cut into 8 slices
8 slider buns
Optional toppings: lettuce, onions, tomatoes
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
In a medium mixing bowl add ground beef, salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Mix well to combine then form into 8 even patties. The burgers will shrink during cooking, so be sure to make them larger than the diameter of the buns. Use your thumb and indent the middle of each burger, this will also help reduce shrinkage.
Grill burgers for 3 minutes on each side, or until charred on the outside, but still slightly pink in the center. During the last minute of cooking add cheese. Remove and place on buns with desired toppings.
